Perfect Brew

-

Nespresso’s new Prodigio coffee machine lets you make your morning cup without leaving your bed—or even schedule a daily brew so you wake up and smell the coffee

For many of us, the perfect start to the day would see us waking feeling well-rested from a good night’s sleep, followed by a quality brew for that extra kick of energy. Often, however, the inevitable morning rush may force us to pick just one. Enter Nespresso’s latest creation, the Prodigio, which allows you the best of both worlds. Another gadget necessary for any smart home, the new Prodigio is the brand’s first ever smartphone-connected coffee machine. It lets you prepare coffee remotely whether it’s from your bed or living room couch. Bluetooth Smart technology hooks the Nespresso app on your phone up to the coffee machine so you can easily prepare your favourite Nespresso Grand Cru and even schedule it ahead of time with the push of a few buttons. This means you can get your coffee brewing while you’re still in bed and have it ready to drink by the time you’re dressed—beauty sleep uncompromised. For coffee lovers who don’t have the time to regularly check if their coffee capsule stash will last the week, the Prodigio does it for them. Through the app, owners will get error and maintenance alerts like when the machine is running low on capsules, when the capsule container is full or when the water tank is empty. No time to make a trip to buy more Grands Crus? Nespresso Club members can order through the app and have the capsules delivered right to their doorstep. At the same time, they can pass the Nespresso delivery men their used capsules for recycling. Enjoying your morning cup of coffee has never been so effortless. Get the Prodigio alone or if you like lattes and cappuccinos, the Prodigio&milk comes with an Aeroccino3 milk frother. Both models are available in sleek Silver or classic Titan, at Nespresso boutiques (01-14 Ion Orchard and B1 Takashimaya DS), nespresso.com, via the Nespresso mobile app or tollfree number 800 852 3525.
