For takeaway options, the sliced abalone and crispy fish skin yusheng, Wan Hao’s nourishing premium pencai with pig trotters and crispy oysters, as well as the nian gao and yam tarts are must-haves. If you prefer, a la carte options are also available. Try the stewed spare ribs with hawthorn and preserved plum or braised South African 15-head dried abalone with fish maw. Make a beeline for the spectacularly decorated Grand Ballroom. Diners can look forward to savouring mains such as stewed fivehead abalone with pig trotters, black moss, beancurd skin, and seasonal vegetables; double-boiled chicken soup with Chinese ham, peach resin and fish maw; alongside satisfying desserts such as chilled osmanthus jelly with water chestnut and wolfberries served with deep-fried nian gao pancake with yam paste. Those who prefer a meal with both Chinese and Western influences can book a spot at Marriott Cafe. Awaiting diners is a buffet spread full of tempting crowd-pleasers such as Singapore chilli crab, pork ribs with Marmite sauce, Boston lobsterslobsters, seared duck foie gras with mandarin jam, and more. For last-minute Lunar New Year goodies, swing by the hotel’s Forecourt Stall to pick up light bites such as pandan kueh lapis, signature bak kwa cornflake cookies and red velvet cookies.
