IN GOOD HANDS

There’s no compromise with this one.

-

When it comes to safekeeping one’s treasured timepiece collection, Austrian manufacturer of luxury watch storage Buben & Zorweg has created a watch winder said to be so secure, the brand has called it a vault. It has even gone to the, well, extreme of naming it after everybody’s favourite Brit secret service agent. Here are five facts you should know about the X- 007 Extreme.

HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT

An optional spyglass door hides the contents of the safe, until it is illuminated with LED lighting on command.

ALL- ROUNDER

For those who like a complete showcase of their precious timepieces, choose a full glass core for an unhindered view.

ALL RISE

The X-007 Extreme uses a motorised elevating mechanism that brings up the display case, so owners can access its contents while standing. Most watch safes require users to crouch down to operate the system.

PERSONAL SPACE

Choose from various materials, such as high gloss lacquer, leather, handpolished stainless steel and gold, to customise the unit, which can store up to 18 watches. There are also two front and side drawers to store other valuables.
