MUSE RESTAURANT
BEST FOR Celebratory dinners. FOOD This quaint 40-seater restaurant is owned by husband-and-wife duo Alan and Simone Bezuidenhout. Surfer and head chef Alan creates a seasonal menu: plated in a rustic ceramic bowl, the beef short rib pairs perfectly with a crunchy corn salsa, chilli and lime-roasted baby potatoes rounded off with a chipotle aioli. The smoked pork belly is also a great option, finished with salted bacon jam, veggies, apple sauce, crackling and a maple jus. Finish with a signature carrot cake ice cream popsicle. More down-to-earth options include pastas, pizzas, wraps, tacos and curries. DRINKS The small wine list offers a curated selection of wines and specialty cocktails. Delicious gourmet milkshakes come highly recommended, with the toasted marshmallow milkshake screaming for attention. SERVICE Cheerful waiters offer recommendations on the menu. AMBIENCE A relaxed, semi-casual environment welcomes guests with light indie music playing in the background. The décor is more coffee shop than fine dining. (TF)
