SAFOMAR AVIATION OPERATIONS
REVOLUTIONISING PILOT TRAINING (SACAA ATO 1145)
Safomar Aviation Operations’ pilot training integrates new and diverse ways to produce pilots during the COVID-19 pandemic ensuring the safety of our pilots and our personnel in accordance with the health and safety regulations. Our effort to ensure aviation training is still a viable option is our number one priority. With more recognition within the aviation training industry, our professionalism and quality of training still makes us one of the few ATO facilities offering both fixed wing and helicopter training.
SAO’s new approach to training includes the recruitment and employment of several ATPL instructors who have been in the commercial aviation industry and carry commercial aircraft experience, enabling our students to receive real world knowledge. Our new training staff are certified Grade 1 Instructors (DFE) and Grade 2 and 3 for both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
In addition, SAO’s fleet will soon include the Robinson R44 and R22 to compliment the Enstrom Helicopter fleet currently operating, thus furthermore offering our students exclusive opportunities to obtain multiple ratings during their training in the field of rotorcraft the Robinson types will be kitted out for sling ratings and game capture. Not leaving behind our fixed wing facilities this division will soon be welcoming a twin-engine aircraft to be used for advanced training and to be used for charter flights.
SAO is committed to providing students and instructors with personalised attention during their training programmes. Our instructors and pilots now have access to the Safomar Aviation Group maintenance facility offering basic aircraft maintenance training with our aircraft engineering expert’s providing the opportunity for our pilots to maintain and exceed their training requirements furthermore placing Safomar students in a privileged and exclusive position in having access to these areas of operation. Our aircraft are fully sanitised inside and out and remain in our fully sanitised hangar at night with no possible interference by unknown personnel. We have also taken initiative to support our students by reducing the price of David Clark headsets to which the Safomar Group is a certified distributor, furthermore ensuring our ‘Show you care, don’t share’ philosophy in this area to play our role in the fight against the virus during this world pandemic.
With the ease of the COVID-19 regulations, we are excited and look forward to welcoming back our cadet programme students from other countries, who left a few days before the lockdown to ride out the lockdown in their own countries. Also welcome to all our new students that signed up with us during the lockdown and immediately after. SAO will continue to work hard at keeping the passion of aviation training alive despite the current challenges we are facing, as a member of the Safomar Aviation Group of companies that have been in existence for 30+ years’ operating on the African continent, Indian Ocean Islands, Middle East and Asia we have a solid platform and a lifetime commitment and presence in Aviation offering World Class opportunities and products to our customers and students.
