Double-storey ocean living

-

A seven-bedroom home in Betty’s Bay is being brought to auction by Rawson Auctions Western Cape on February 22.

This quaint seaside village is situated on the Clarence Drive Route, which is considered one of the most scenic routes in SA.

The double-storey home overlooks the ocean.

Downstairs it has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lounge and a kitchen. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one study, two bathrooms, a big family room, kitchen with a scullery, and a dining room.

The interior design has a Victorian theme. The high ceilings and tall windows allow natural light to filter through.

The rooms, most with warm wooden floors, are large.

Outside is a beautiful, wellmaintained multilevel garden, a braai area, and four garages.

Next to the garages are two extra workrooms, two greenhouses and domestic quarters.

“Betty’s Bay is an ideal destination for water-sport lovers and adventurers alike. One can enjoy the simpler, but finer joys in life such as swimming in the warm waters, whale watching, canoeing and kayaking, ” says Tanya Jovanovski of Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

The auctioneer is also bringing to auction a five-bedroom, double-storey house in the Zevenwacht Country Estate, Kuilsriver. Residents of the estate have access to the adjacent Zevenwacht Winery. The house, like much of the estate, comes with spectacular views over surrounding farms and dams, Table Mountain, Strand and the northern suburbs.

One of the bedrooms is downstairs.

The downstairs area also comprises a lounge, bathroom, dining area and a modern openplan kitchen with built-in cupboards and an oven hob.

Upstairs sports four bedrooms, a study/office and three bathrooms. The floors are tiled throughout the entire residence.

The interior of the home is spacious and modern.

The high ceilings, open-plan styling and abundance of natural light highlights the house’s architectural flow and size.

The garden has a pool, braai and bar area.

Four cars can fit into the three garages.

Rates and taxes come in at a low R1,500 a month, with levies at R1,200.

The auctions will be by silent tender (written offers in a sealed envelope), with tenders closing at noon on February 22.

Bids for both properties can be delivered to the head office of Rawson Property Group at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.
