Poll shows Kenyatta has 47% of vote

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta is backed by 47% of voters surveyed before the August 8 elections in East Africa’s largest economy, according to a poll by Ipsos Kenya. Opposition leader Raila Odinga gained support, reaching 43% from 42% in May, Ipsos researcher Tom Wolf said on Sunday. Neither candidate has the 50% plus one vote needed for a firstround victory, if elections were held now.
