Industrial property to be sold with engineering equipment
Vehicles and office furniture of furnace and mining apparatus fabricator that is in business rescue are included
Park Village Auctions will soon bring to market a 2ha industrial property in Germiston.
The sale will include heavy engineering equipment, vehicles, office furniture and equipment belonging to a prominent furnace and mining equipment fabricator, which is now in business rescue.
The property and assets will be sold at 11am on August 23.
All assets will be sold piecemeal by way of public auction at 30 Lamp Road, on the corner with Kreupelhout Street, Wadeville, Germiston.
Jaco du Toit said the property was zoned industrial 1, measures just more than 5ha and occupies an ideal position in the well-established industrial node east of Johannesburg.
It is easily accessible from the N17 and N3 via the Osborne Road and Heidelberg Road offramps respectively.
UPPER LEVEL
The property has two office buildings, large industrial workshops and warehouse structures with ancillary offices, and other improvements. The main office building is a doublestorey, the ground floor of which comprises a reception and foyer, an executive boardroom with a bar, a staff kitchen, staff cloakrooms with a shower, a strongroom, climate-controlled server room, three open-plan offices and seven private offices.
A staircase from the reception leads to the upper level, which has a boardroom and 16 private offices.
The secondary office building is a free-standing single-storey structure composed of more offices, a boardroom, kitchen and cloakroom.
The manufacturing complex consists of six adjoining workshops, which are combined to
form a large open-plan manufacturing workshop area fitted with assorted swing and gantry cranes, offices, storerooms, staff toilets, a compressor room and back-up generator room.
A sandblasting spray booth, secondary warehouses, workshops,
security offices, a large staff canteen, male and female ablution facilities and ample parking space also feature on the property, which measures 21,000m² under roof.
“Investment buyers can start yielding a profit from the property almost as soon as it has been bought. There is considerable letting interest, with prospective tenants waiting to take a large portion of the property with immediate effect at potentially R35 a square metre,” Du Toit said.
A large assortment of engineering equipment will go under the hammer immediately after the sale of the property.
Milling machines, lathes and compressors include: a Pegard; an Atlas B7000 compressor; Akumi CNC V10; a Dilian centre lathe; an Alpha Harrison; R8 milling machine; bandsaws; a Peddinghaus cropper; radial arm and pedestal drills; a CNC press brake; a Hercules Wetzlar pipe-rolling machine; plate rollers; and vertical pipe rollers.
