Woodstock, Observatory properties up for auction

-

Rawson Auctions Western Cape will auction three properties that present buyers with a variety of opportunities – in Salt River, Observatory and Woodstock.

The first property is a fivebedroom, double-storey home with mixed-use zoning. Its location (1 Shannon Road, Salt River) and composition make it ideal for use as student accommodation, business premises, or a family home.

Upstairs it comprises two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open-plan lounge/dining area. Downstairs are the remaining three bedrooms, as well as two bathrooms, another open-plan lounge/dining area, and a kitchen which has built-in cupboards.

There is enough space at the back to extend the property.

The fully enclosed property covers 157m², and has security gates, burglar bars and enclosed parking for one vehicle.

The reserve price is R2.3m.

“Homes have become extremely popular in this suburb. The Biscuit Mill has created a whole new buzz in surrounding areas, which has resulted in many homes in immediate proximity being bought, renovated and either resold or converted,” says Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

The other two properties, with development potential, are in two of Cape Town’s most fashionable suburbs – Woodstock and Observatory.

The property located in Observatory is a two-bedroom house that, with a little renovation, can be the perfect place to call home or great student accommodation.

The 157m² property is also close to Lower Main Road (18 Rochester Road).

The third home up for auction is a double-storey, semidetached three-bedroom house at 19 Greatmore Street in Woodstock, near Observatory.

The home has two loft-like bedrooms. The main bedroom, as well as a bathroom, openplan lounge and dining room, and kitchen with built-in cupboards, are located downstairs. The reserve price for this 105m² property is R1.3m.

The properties will be going on auction on August 29 at 12am, at Rawson’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.

Those interested may submit all offers on the Rawson Auctions standard terms and conditions offer to purchase form. Bids can be delivered to Rawson’s head office.
