Inyathi Guest Lodge comes under the hammer

-

A well-established guest lodge in the centre of the renowned Garden Route, seaside town of Knysna, will be going on auction on October 30.

The Inyathi Guest Lodge, a property spanning 1,324m², comprises self-catering apartments and chalets, which offer a wide array of accommodation options.

The guest lodge is divided into two one-bedroom chalets, two two-bedroom chalets, a studio chalet and two threebedroom apartments.

THE GUEST LODGE, RECEIVED A 3-STAR TOURISM GRADING FROM THE TOURISM GRADING COUNCIL OF SA

While the two apartments boast more accommodation than the chalets, each residence has its own kitchen-kitchenette, lounge area, panic button and burglar bars, among other features.

Additionally, each chalet has a private walled garden-courtyard with individual braai, and outside seating and dining area. And, for the apartments, there is a private walled-off garden with an outdoor dining and sitting area, a braai, and a small treehouse for the children.

The guest lodge, which received a 3-star tourism grading from the Tourism Grading Council of SA, is located at 38 Trotter Street, which is a five-minute walk to areas of interest such as the Lagoon, Thesen Island shops and restaurants, Mitchell’s Brewery and the Knysna High School.

Additional buildings on the property include an office and reception area, maintenance shed, laundry room and staff quarters with a shower and toilet. The full financials of the business and the inventory list is available upon request.

There are a few sale conditions that need to be met before the sale can take place, a full detailed list of which is also available on request.

“Knysna is a beautiful place to live and enjoy as a holiday retreat,” said Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

“The most popular attraction is the protected 21km² marine reserve, locally better known as the Lagoon.

“It is best known for its oyster farming, offering self-indulgence to any oyster lover.”

The property will go on auction on October 30 at 12pm at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch (Rawson’s head office).

The reserve price is R3.2m, however, all offers will be reviewed.
