Health-care workers die in copter crash

A pilot and four health-care workers died when the helicopter they were travelling in crashed near Bergville in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday. Netcare CEO Richard Friedland said the five “died in the line of duty”. They are Dr Kgopotso Rudolph Mononyane, Dr Curnick Siyabonga Mahlangu and Mpho Xaba, all from Netcare Milpark Hospital, as well as paramedic Sinjin Joshua Farrance and helicopter pilot Mark Stoxreiter.
