Awesome attitudes at Vincent Pallotti Hospital. Popped in yesterday to leave some treats for a friend who was in theatre having a hip replacement. Everyone everywhere was enthusiastic about being a part of the hospital. From directions for wi-fi, to the direction of the car park, nothing was too much trouble. A recent post-op pic of my friend, the smiling patient, confirmed this. – Di Longmore, Constantia
I would like to sincerely thank Mr Dollie and his son, Yagyah, for the kind assistance with my flat tyre on Dale Street, Rondebosch East on Monday (April 25). Help freely given and hugely appreciated. – C Brink, Garlandale
Maybe some yuppie waiting in the wings to buy Mrs Fagodien’s house from the CCT for a million or so? – Shahida Rahman, Heideveld
I find myself beyond anger at the city council regarding Latiefa Fagodien. Smells to me like they want to get her out of the house. I will remember this when election time comes. – Mark Rodinson, Fish Hoek
Shame on the City of Cape Town for their treatment of Farouk Ryklief who was trying, at his own expense, to help an elderly lady have a better life. After years of neglect, the city wakes up when someone else “steals their thunder”. – P Wilson, Camps Bay Drive
Sports minister, there is no transformation in soccer. If you can’t see it, have your eyes tested again. – V Ganfort, Belhar
I hope Allister Coetzee can see past the Hex River mountains. If so, he should appoint Warren Whitely as his Springbok captain as soon as possible. He could also pick the entire Lions backline. – Ken Ellis, Fish Hoek
After being dumped out of the CAF Champions League last Wednesday and losing to Pirates in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday, Mamelodi Sundowns are certainly on the ropes. It will give me great joy if Ajax could take maximum points against them tomorrow. – Les Barendse, Mitchells Plain
