Jacob Zuma wants Pravin Gordhan out, but most people want HIM to go. – G Cook Brackenfell

Lawyers and insurance companies make billions from death on the roads. Death and injury claims and insurance premiums total billions a year with lawyers and insurance companies making huge profits. But when did you last hear of these lawyers and insurance companies supporting road safety? No, their profits come from death on the roads. – Richard Benson, Road Safety Action Campaign, Cape Town

Pat Lambie and Handre Pollard received a significant longer leash than Elton Jantjies in the Bok team. It was just last year that Pollard was at pivot and performed so badly in the first-ever loss to Argentina he was booed off the field. Lambie, who substituted him, was unable to save the game. Yet there is a fierce urgency to get rid of Jantjies. Why? The full tragic significance of this intolerance is that people like Gavin Rich are driven by their prejudicial impulses. Go and look for yourself and you will discover that Rich never subjected them to the dismal forebodings he tries to blacken Jantjies with. – Ronald Martin, Mitchells Plain

Can we believe anything President Jacob Zuma says? Before the election, he categorically denied that Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan was under investigation. Zuma has lied again to the people of South Africa. The value of the rand has again dropped dramatically because of his ongoing vendetta against the finance minister. What next, junk status rating? The ANC refuses to see the elephant in the room. The senior ministers in government are a pathetic bunch of losers and will be responsible for the ruin of our country. – Charles Brown, Sea Point
