Fond family farewell...
South African drivers. Yip! I said it. As a nation, we like to give ourselves a hard time.
And, yes, there are some appalling drivers on our roads, but during my journey to and from Knysna, I experienced nothing but courtesy and thoughtfulness. Perhaps I just hit a sweet spot.
Saying goodbye to family. Even though my parents are six hours up the road, I don’t see them enough.
And I thought of all the millions of people in the world who are separated from their loved ones because of circumstances beyond their control – collapsed economies, civil wars, genocide.
