Zuma has devastated SA
DEAR Mr President,
I will not ask any questions as I know you are averse to responding. I will not make any demands as I know they will not be met.
I knew when you took the oath of office you were a compromised individual.
I hoped, assumed and prayed you would use this perception as a motivation to deliver to all South Africans that wonderful dream Madiba, and all like-minded patriots had.
Mr President, Mandela would not have approved of your News-maker of the Year status. Sisulu would not have approved of your flouting of the constitution. Tambo would not have approved of your relationship with the Guptas. Chief Luthuli would have hated your slow-poisoning of the noble values of his ANC. Your two terms as Citizen Number One are possibly best summarised as “Mbeki must be thinking I told you so” – not that he would.
Mr President, we were once considered the brightest light on the continent. On your watch, the only brightness we emit is the fires raging at our universities.
Mr President, your political obituary will read: Nkandla, various Guptagates, Marikana, father of a tender billionaire, uncle to Khubuluse, patron of Hlaudi, assassinator of the ANC, creator of the EFF, destroyer of the fiscus. I could, but will not, elaborate.
Mr President, when you wiped R50 billion from our economy, you effectively declared war on the poor. Please, make peace with Minister Gordhan, bring back the investors, do it for the have-nots. Prove to us, Mr President, that you are not in the habit of playing roulette with our life savings and our very livelihood.
Mr President, all of South Africa asks you answer the 43 questions asked by the public protector; the law requires you to, South Africa deserves to know. Maimane once charged you as a man devoid of honour, Mr President, I believe you to be devoid of shame.
I once feared your antics and comments would turn my president into a national embarrassment; you have exceeded every expectation. National disaster is, sadly, a more apt description.
Mr President, your term nears its conclusion, South Africa’s public enemy number one will soon be in lavish retirement.
The Zuma tsunami that Malema, Vavi, Mantashe, Mtembu etc promised us has been more devastating than anyone could have imagined.
Sadly, a South African head of state will leave and will not be missed.
