Mandrax worth R10m seized

FOUR suspects are expected to appear in the Colesberg Magistrate’s Court today on a charge of alleged drug dealing after they were caught in possession of mandrax worth R10 million, Northern Cape police said. Yesterday, police seized the mandrax tablets during a roadblock on the N1 highway near Colesberg. The men, aged between 25 and 40, were travelling in two separate cars from Joburg to Cape Town.

Northern Cape Provincial Commission­er Lieutenant-General Peter Shivuri praised the police for doing an “excellent job”. – ANA
