Cape Argus invites readers to a ‘cracker of an event’ at Sandringham Farm
THE CAPE Argus Sport Show has arrived and it is THE event this weekend. It will take place at Sandringham Farm, where the three-day sporting showcase will include celebrities, clinics, exhibitors and live performances.
From drone racing, water sports, BMX biking, and The Grind obstacle course, the Sport Show promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Seminars will help players hone their game, while the Gary Kirsten Cricket Academy will also take place this year and share valuable tips for aspiring cricketers.
Also included are action sports, tag rugby and a paint ball tournament, the Western Cape Provincial Cup.
The freestyle stunt arena is expected to be a top attraction, while the I AM WATER team will demonstrate tips for holding one’s breath under water.
Cape Argus editor Aziz Hartley has shared his excitement, as well as how proud the newspaper is to be involved with the event, which is expected to draw as much as 20 000 over three days.
“We are excited to be associated with the Cape Argus Sport Show,” Hartley said.
“The paper is about the people, and we call on our readers and subscribers to come out for this year’s show which promises to be a cracker of an event.
“We want to thank all those participating and giving Capetonians a good return on their money.”
Event organiser Stephan Jooste, the Sport Show promises fun for the entire family. “Too many sporting events exclude moms and dads and daughters,” said Jooste. “But the Sport Show is wholly inclusive, and pleases casual fans and hardcore sports fanatics alike.”
The event is presented in partnership with Cape Town’s premier radio station, KFM, and its programme manager Stephen Werner believes the brands are a good fit.
“KFM is all about family, fun and the great life in the Western Cape. The Sport Show is a family-friendly event that truly promotes the benefits of exercise and an active lifestyle,” Werner said.
The Sport Show starts today and ends on Sunday. Tickets are available at the site
