SADC welcomes Kabila’s efforts

SADC’S Troika Ministerial Assessment Follow Up Mission has welcomed the efforts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s President Joseph Kabila to push forward the political process.

The mission noted that the demise of the leader of the opposition, Etienne Tshisekedi wa Mulumba, had complicated the implementation of the Special Arrangements.

All stakeholders were urged to support establishing a government of national unity to improve Congolese livelihoods.
