Children of Butterfly Kiddies ECD in Langebaan were treated to a nice meal and received a brand new TV, stand and DVD player to help them with visual learning materials.
The ECD caters to an additional 44 children in its after-care programme.
HeartFM’s head of programming, Denver Apollus, said the mobile TV stand also doubled up as a blackboard.
“Their previous TV was too small and not all the children were able to see.
“With this TV, they have a chance to watch some educational programmes together.”
The crew chose this centre because it was in need of the most help as it catered to many children from the community.
The crew will visit Atlantis today and will end their 16-day journey in Klipheuwel tomorrow. – Staff Reporter
