Disarmament continues
THE MISSION of the UN in Colombia has confirmed it has received 60% of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia’s weapons, officially completing the second phase of its disarmament.
“The mission has taken under its custody 60% of the about 7 000 individual weapons that were registered, monitored, and verified since March 1, 2017,” the UN said.
As agreed by Farc-EP, the Colombian government and the UN, the third phase of disarmament is scheduled for tomorrow.
