Constitution to be reviewed
MOGADISHU: The Somali government would launch national consultations to review its draft constitution after a public-awareness process, officials said.
Minister of Constitutional Affairs Abdurahman Hosh Jibril said the process would engage all Somalis to ensure their views were represented.
He said a national conference would be held in the coming weeks. Then deliberations would be held in the regional states and the diaspora. The draft constitution under review was adopted in 2012.
