The Cape Town Fringe Festival 2017 runs from September 21 to October 8 at various venues around Cape Town. Dancing in the Dark runs on September 20 at the Baxter Theatre. Presented by the UCT School of Dance, this mixed bill explores notions of black dance and is purposeful­ly tongue-incheek. The Fall runs until September 21 at the Baxter Theatre. When the statue of Cecil John Rhodes was dismantled at the University of Cape Town, seven drama postgradua­tes wrote this searing, insightful play about race, class, gender, sexism, colonialis­m and ideologies of patriarchy.
