Loan scam has hurt creditworthiness

- K Nayager

I REALLY need your help with Loan Choice, and I am worried they have thrown my hard work in clearing my Trans-Union (ITC) credit down the drain. Please help me, I have been a victim of these people.

They had somehow obtained all my details years ago and kept on persisting that I owe them money.

I had not signed or taken any loans from these people online. I have read multiple posts online about this company and others associated with them scamming people into this sign-up and charging them this monthly fee.

I cannot remember if I did fill out my details for a possible loan verification, but I had not received a loan or any confirmation on my account sign-up, monthly premiums etc.

Surely this is against the Consumer Protection Act, without any confirmation with the client, be it verbally or written?

I am a young family man who has just cleared debt and am looking to buy a house for my family, but now I have a default and cannot apply for a bond. I am worried that this will cause me further delay in buying property or a vehicle.

Just as everyone else who has ignored these notifications via email, I, too, have been thinking they could not touch our ITC due to laws in place to verify such credits on the consumer’s part.

I do not know what to do, please help. I am scared if I pay them the little money I have, the default will affect me for years.
