I smell a rat in recent chemical attacks in Syria

-

I WONDER what actually triggered the attacks on chemical manufacturing sites in Syria by three of the most powerful military nations in the world.

It was reported that approximately 70 people had died in a chemical attack on Douma on April 7 at the hands of President Bashar al-Assad’s troops. Undeniably, what is happening in Syria is a disaster of epic proportions, as approximately half a million people have been killed to date. This catastrophe should end as soon as possible.

Although President Al-Assad is no angel in the civil war beseeching his country, I cannot but wonder whether there is a hidden agenda behind the recent attacks by three of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, especially, since not a single shred of indisputable evidence was provided that Assad’s troops were responsible for the chemical attack in Douma.

What makes the claim of the UN states hard to swallow is the fact that Assad’s troops have been gaining control over most of the major cities in Syria.

Why on earth would Assad resort to chemical warfare if he was clearly making great strides in getting the upper hand of the rebels?

I wonder whether the US, Britain and France, like in the case of Iraq, want to create income for companies in their countries by creating sufficient damage to key military installations and infrastructure in Syria? After the civil war, Syria will then be forced to settle the military bills of these three nations and further, American, British and French companies will then also be contracted to rebuild Syria using her oil as payment.

I cannot but smell a rat based on the modus operandi of America, Britain and France. Or am I naive?
