Zionists deflect heinous attacks on Gaza

- Q MULLER Lansdowne

IN SPITE of the brutal and vicious attacks upon the civilian population in occupied Palestine, I have yet to hear one South African Jewish voice unconditionally condemn the actions of the Israeli government, and by extension the IDF. The wholesale murder and intentional maiming of protesters on the Gaza side of the “border” adds merit to the argument that Israeli Zionists despise Muslims. How can any God-fearing person not condemn those heinous crimes against humanity?

Yet the SA Zionist Federation and SAJBD unsurprisingly deflect the obvious blame away from Israel and supplant it on to the Palestinians who they say “started first”. If ever there was a conflict in which excessive disproportionality featured, it would have to be the Zionist assault on Palestinian life. I know of no other nation on Earth which is subjected to being indiscriminately bombed by the occupying power within their own land. These people suffer the consequences of land theft, personal harassment, checkpoints, cowardly home demolitions, wanton destruction of their crops by illegal settlers, critical shortages of electricity and fresh water, imprisonment of minors, and the theft of their dignity, and they are expected to roll over and play dead?

Like South Africa, Turkey, and Ireland, every country in the world ought to recall their envoys. Contrary to popular perception this is not a “Muslim problem” but a human tragedy. It is therefore difficult to comprehend how and why Evangelicals are able to render their unconditional support to the Zionist entity.

Perhaps they share a sense of intolerance of Palestinians… thanks in no small measure to their man in the White House.
