Legal action for unwanted services

-

I WOULD like to lay a complaint against Loan Picker SA. The company has been charging me for services I never requested.

All I wanted was a loan in January to assist with school and then this month-end they started charging me.

I tried calling the bank to get the details of the company calling me to query it, but the number given by the bank was not working and the company name issued by the bank was not Loan Picker SA.

So I closed the bank account and opened a new one because I noticed I was being scammed.

After that, I continued receiving letters and SMSes. I replied with an SMS saying I would not pay. With the last SMS I received there was a contact number, so I called the company and they told me I had agreed to their services. I asked them to send me a recording of calls because I know companies rendering these services record calls. I was told no recording existed.

I advised them that I never received a loan from them and asked how I could purchase a service I can’t afford as I am taking a loan in the first place.

I sent an email to them after they sent me a document stating I had agreed to their service, advising them to stop their nonsense. After that I started receiving letters of demand from Lifestyle Legal.

Last week I received a letter, and today I received one saying I must pay them within 48 working hours or legal action will be taken against me.

Please assist. I do not remember agreeing to anything and I do read the terms and conditions before I agree to anything.
