Think of victim’s family

-

ALL this sanctimonious high-brow wailing about inhumanity to murderers “Calls for return of death penalty are misplaced” (Monday, June 4), and the letter from Michael Bagraim (June 7), but no consideration for the families whose loved ones have been murdered.

All the judge’s thoughts were on the rights of the convicted murderer, but no thought that making the family’s taxes support the killer might be a little bit unconstitutional? If the wailers would offer to pay for the prison costs, they would appear to be humanitarian, but ignoring the bereaved families shows they are not. ROB JOHNSTON Tokai
