So blinded by your antiquated beliefs that you just ignore the facts

- GARY JAMES | Llandudno

YAGYAH Adams, once again I find myself completely bemused by your latest diatribe contained in your letter printed in Wednesday’s Argus.

I did not rebut any of your opinions because they were so bizarre and outlandish that any reasonably intelligent person would disregard them with the contempt that they deserve.

And in your feeble attempt to categorise humanity you forgot to mention the growing category of people who simply believe in the power and beauty of the natural world as far as our science can reveal it, people whose motivations in life are simply to ensure the goodwill and happiness of others, as well as the preservation and conservation of our planet and all life within, people who choose to do these things not because of some perceived divine reward but simply because they are the right things to do.

You are so blinded by your religious beliefs you just ignore the facts and disregard any evidence that contradicts your antiquated views.

Did not the Abrahamic God himself command Moses to slaughter thousands?

Did not gentle Jesus say that he comes not in peace but with the sword and did not Allah tell Muslims to “oppose the non-believers wherever you may find them: chop off their heads, chop off the very tips of their fingers”?

So you can stand on your “holier than thou” moral soap box but the evidence is clear and irrefutable.

Religion has been and continues to be the cause of the vast majority of conflict, bigotry and hatred that plagues the world.
