Leopardfalls eco adventure
CRACK open your rocking camping gear in celebration for Robertson Rocks Leopardfalls eco adventure spring music festival from October 14 to 16. Tied in over the same weekend as the 10th Wine on the River festival held on the banks of the Breede River, attendees can utilize a shuttle service to experience both festivals at certain times of each day.
Artists who have been announced for the main stage include Taxi Violence (from Cape Town) , Akkedis (CT), Past Haunts (CT), The Inside Job (Paarl), Chris Ross Band (CT), Dustland Express (CT), Ruber Gerritz Band (CT), The Jumping Guns (Stellenbosch), The Nasty Narcotics (CT), Black Math (DBN), The Sisters (DBN), Drunk Girls (CT), Young Hands (CT), Smugg Juggler (CT), Riku Latti (CT), Burger Le Roux (Robertson).
A second art stage will host comedians, acoustic artists and a variety of artistic performances under wild bush trees surrounded by various art stalls selling handmade arts and crafts.
Robertson Rocks Leopardfalls will showcase over 25 performing artists over two stages including a multi-platform of diverse music genres such as rock, blues, indie, pop, alternative, blues, funk and Afrikaans. .
The eco-adventure music festival will give festival goers a chance to experience a wildlife like adventure, and festival goers can keep their eyes open and they could spot one of the five resident leopards, get a glimpse of warthog, veld mouse and tortoises as they experience an eco-adventure music safari.
The venture also hopes to see a community partnership to be launched on the Leopard Falls Retreat to fund a sustainable AquaPonic fish and vegetable garden to aid in giving local school children in the valley regular healthy meals.
