WHITE maize for delivery in December dropped 2.1 percent to R4 205 a ton on the SA Futures Exchange yesterday.

Prices earlier touched the lowest in more than a week.

Yellow maize for same month declined 1.2 percent to R3 217 a ton.

Sunflower seeds for delivery in September retreated 0.9 percent to R6 320 a ton. Prices declined for first time in five sessions.

Soya beans for December dropped 0.5 percent to R6 585 a ton.

Wheat for same delivery month lost 0.2 percent to R4 160 a ton. Prices were down a fourth day, reaching the lowest in two weeks. – Bloomberg
