QUEST FOR JUSTICE FOR BIKO, TOO

-

IN COMMEMORATION of Ahmed Timol’s untimely death, the Steve Biko Foundation, in partnership with the Ahmed Timol Foundation, is hosting the exhibition opening of A Quest for Justice tonight at the Steve Biko Centre in Ginsberg, King William’s Town, in the Eastern Cape

Detailing Timol’s short but inspiring life journey, the exhibition highlights his tragic demise and the steps taken by the Timol family to uncover the true cause.

In addition to the exhibition, the foundation will be screening the documentary

Indians Can’t Fly to further highlight the significance of Timol’s life to South Africa.

Having noted similarities between the lives and deaths of Timol and Biko, both foundations saw fit to host the exhibition at the Steve Biko Centre to have the stories of these great young men side by side for the community to reflect on.

The exhibition opens at 6pm at the museum at One Zotshie Street, Ginsberg.

The screening of Indians Can’t Fly commences at 7.30pm.

The Steve Biko Foundation is a communitydevelopment organisation inspired by the legacy of Stephen Bantu Biko.

Established in 1998, the foundation’s vision is to promote the values Biko lived and died for and restoring people to their true humanity.
