Listen to that strong inner voice

- Amahn Heuvel, Zoë Hendricks and Tallulah Baird

THIS message goes out to all the girls out there who feel vulnerable, sad, scared, mistreated and worthless.

Why do you allow yourself to feel this way?

Just imagine what life would be like if we stood by each other, every step of the way.

Together we can conquer so much and feel free to be ourselves, not let the opposite gender intimidate us to a lower level.

REJECT THE STATUS QUO; I dare you, there’s a whole world out there that needs someone like you.

Why be a copy when you are born an original.

We are currently living in a universe that allows humanity to be very diverse and our people cannot recognise potential.

They usually ignore or overlook those strong, brave girls who have real character and strength. We are here to remind you that everyone has potential, and even just being able to make a good cup of tea counts as an interesting quality to have.

Girls, we need to wake up and realise that life is not a box of chocolates.

You have the key to success and you have to unlock that door because no one is going to do it for you.

Sharing knowledge could be extremely powerful. There are so many inquisitive youngsters out there waiting to be taught the right way.

Bulelwa MakalimaNgewana, chief executive of Cape Town Partnership, says: “Immerse yourself in as many cultures and experiences as you can. Books offer great pathways, allowing you to transcend your reality. They really do open up your world.”

Inside you there’s a strong voice telling you you’re special and that you have a purpose. Always listen to that voice. Never let anything silence it!
