- Roy Cokayne

INVICTA group chief executive Charles Walters has resigned from his position at the listed investment holding and management company effective from the end of next month.

The company, which operates through three segments to provide engineering solutions, capital equipment and building supplies, said yesterday that Walters would remain available to the group in a consulting capacity until the end of November next year.

Arnold Goldstone, who is the executive deputy chairman of the group and was chief executive of Invicta from April 2000 until April last year, will resume the role of chief executive effective from February 1.

“I look forward to taking over the day-to-day responsibilities of chief executive again and to implement Invicta’s stated strategy to unlock and grow stakeholder value,” Goldstone said.

As executive deputy chairman, Goldstone focused on the strategic direction of the group and helped assess potential acquisition opportunities.
