What’s PAC smoking?

IN response to Mr Kenneth Mokgatlhe’s letter “Long live, Mugabe”.

Ken, what in the world are you folks smoking there at the PAC head office?

Also after your comments, and I quote “We also believe that your birthday is as important as Christmas Day, which is the birth of Jesus Christ”.

Firstly, I thank you for the heads up as I and probably many other people had no idea Christmas Day was Jesus Christ’s birthday. Secondly, and I’m no fortune teller, but I would avoid walking around any open fields during a thunderstorm if I were you, Ken, as I predict a bolt of lighting may just be heading in your direction.

Another one of your gems Ken… “You have not only delivered freedom to Zimbabwe, but the entire continent…”

If you’re referring to the freedom Zimbabweans and other Africans have with regards to crossing South Africa’s borders in the hope of finding a job and a brighter future for their families, then I couldn’t agree more… If that’s not the case then we may have just run into our first stumbling block on the way to becoming good friends.

And another one for good measure: “You did not only bring about social and political liberation to your people, but you always emphasised the economy, hence your return of the land to its original owners…” I for one had no idea Bob’s wife, close family members and government ministers had farms that were once taken away from them… Would love to get together for a beer and discuss your other questionable comments, Ken. I’ll bring the smokes!
