AFTER many months of hard work, IOL, Independent Media’s news and entertainment online platform, is proud to reveal its brand new site.

It is set to go live tomorrow morning.

“We want you to understand that IOL is not only about politics and crime,’’ said Riana Howa, IOL editor.

‘‘As we govern coverage around the country, our reporting will bring you the best of business news via Business Report, the best sport coverage and match analysis via IOL Sport, the latest motoring news for car fanatics via IOL Motoring.

“We will also ensure that you follow the latest trends with our lifestyle team via IOL and IOL Tech. And if you love to travel, we’ve got you covered via IOL Travel.

“Not forgetting to bring you the latest and juiciest scoop via IOL Tonight.

‘‘The new look will allow users to have an informative experience and comprehensive understanding with our digital first, print best reporting.’’

Using the latest technology, IOL’s desktop and mobile sites are of the fastest news platforms in South Africa, which will make browsing easier for users to stay on top of breaking news and hot topics.

IOL will continue to work with multimedia journalists from Independent Media’s newsrooms across the country.

These include The Star, Pretoria News, the Cape Times, Cape Argus, Daily Voice, The Mercury and Daily News, Saturday and Sunday Argus and the Sunday Independent, so that the new site will incorporate high-quality video formatting and multimedia content for a rich media experience.
