Vusi Nova’s video viewing a success

- Amanda Maliba

GREAT things are always worth celebrating – that’s why an intimate gathering was staged at the iconic Ghetto Ruff studios for the exclusive viewing of Vusi Nova’s music video.

The video is for the much-loved song Ndikuthandile, which has warmed the airwaves since its release.

The video shows a wedding in which many of South Africa’s favourite celebs are featured. Somizi plays the pastor (an irony, right?), who is marrying the couple – the bridegroom being sax player Bongani Radebe.

The wedding was “attended” by the likes of Kwela Tebza, Khanyi Mbau and Bujy Bikwa.

To celebrate the release of the video, the legendary Lance Stehr gave a word of welcome before moving us to one of the studio’s creative rooms.

The video has that special something that will make you fall in love. Or is it the song? You’ll judge for yourself.

The downside of the night was having the celebrant missing in action. It had some guests wondering.

The upside was without a doubt Bongani’s performance, from his sax rendition album of the popular Buyelekhaya compilation by Nathi Mankayi.

That young man’s talent is so enthralling that he managed to instantly lighten up the room.

Even the fact that the food was cold didn’t detract from what was a pleasant night, with guests which included the likes of entrepreneur Lebo Gunguluza.
