Celebrate Youth Day with Gino Lee

- Staff Reporter

GINO LEE, Cape Town-based musician and mastermind behind the hit single Back To Me, will host a special youth day edition of his weekly Woodstock Open Mic at Three Feathers Diner (opposite the Biscuit Mill) tomorrow between noon and 3pm.

With more than 15 artists already confirmed for the event, including Sama award-winning songstress Can Skylark, the jampacked day promises nothing but the best.

Most important however, is spreading a message of hope and upliftment among South African youth. Gino says: “The theme of the event is youth development within the entertainment community. I want to show kids they can productively and creatively keep themselves busy instead of resorting to gangsterism and drug abuse.”

One of the purposes is to help create awareness around Woodstock Open Mic – a place where people can come to showcase their talents in a safe space, express themselves and network with like-minded individuals.

Even more exciting is that Cape Town TV will be in the house, interviewing artists and capturing their performances. And if that isn’t enough to convince you, there will also be awesome prizes and give-aways, including Trendy Jackets and T-shirts from ERKE. A representative from ERKE will be speaking about youth empowerment.

Be there early to secure your seat in the crowd and enjoy an afternoon of music and empowerment with the local community.

The Woodstock Open Mic Youth Day Edition takes place on Saturday at Three Feathers Diner at 12.3pm. There is no charge.
