Address land issue

-

SOUTH Africa has a serious issue which I am convinced is the source of the majority of our hiccups today as a country.

South Africa has a land issue that we are earnestly and desperately required to deal with. I am not talking about chasing the “whites” away and taking their farms, but I am talking about South Africans sitting down and acknowledging the problem and its seriousness and finding ways to redistribute the land.

We cannot all fight corruption against particular people and ignore other historical similar acts.

The government has been trying to initiate ways to sort out the issue, but with no good progress and time running against them. Firstly, the truth is you can’t buy what isn’t yours, you can’t buy what’s not for sale and you cannot fix a problem when you can’t acknowledge there is one.

Secondly, you can’t run a farm when you don’t have enough knowledge and experience, machines or workers to do so, and, by the way, who wants a farm when you are working in an urban area?

What is going on with the land in the urban areas? How do we keep the economy in good condition while fixing this issue?

We need to sit down, discuss and come up with an equitable solution that is equally just for all parties involved. We need to fix this, fellow South Africans, and we are in desperate need of true and honest leaders to help us. God hear our cry. Noxolo Kanjana Muizenberg
