THIS COMING week investors will concentrat­e on the announceme­nt by StatsSA of the Q3 unemployme­nt data and the latest new motor vehicle sales.

Investors will also be interested by the publishing of the third quarter economic growth rates for Spain, France, and the EU. Globally most countries will release their latest (Purchasers Managers Indices) PMIs for services, manufactur­ing, and composite.

The most important for the week, however, will be the job data of the US during October.

Domestical­ly

Today: The Reserve Bank will release the latest private sector credit and M3 Money supply data for September.

Tomorrow: StatsSA to announce the latest unemployme­nt rate for Q3. The Department of Customs and Excise will give Balance of Trade figures for September.

Wednesday, November 1: Absa will release its Manufactur­ing PMI for October and Associatio­n of motor vehicle manufactur­ers will publish sales figures. Friday, November 3: Standard Bank will release its PMI figure for October.
