Call centre 24/7 for water-related faults

THE letter ‘Inefficien­cy makes civic duty a burden’ (November 14, Page 8) refers. The City would like to thank Mr Fourie for being an active citizen and seeking to report the burst water pipe on Sunday.

The City’s call centre is experienci­ng exceptiona­lly high call volumes related to the Level 5 water restrictio­ns, water pressure reduction, the installati­on of water management devices, and account enquiries on a number of other issues. We ask residents to please bear with us during this time.

The call centre is available 24/7 to receive and log all water-related faults.

Residents should please choose option 2 when they call 0860 103 089. The depot staff are available at all hours to respond to water-related emergencie­s such as burst pipes.

Residents can also make use of the following methods to log their service requests, which will help to alleviate the high call volumes:
