Savour summer with gin cocktails

- Nontando Mposo

Summer is at its height and there is lot on offer in the city when it comes to cool cocktails spots to meet friends for drinks and a bit of dancing.

If you are looking for a bar to begin the weekend festivities, look no further than the Ghibli Bar and Pool Terrace at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence in Riebeek Street. The rooftop bar offers views of the city and sunset.

Enjoy the afternoon chilling poolside with cocktails, listening to music with a DJ.

The concept of a soirée compasses laid-back parties or gatherings in an intimate venue for conversation and music.

With a menu of premium Musgrave Gin cocktails, sun loungers, pool access, food and music, these afternoons are all about raising a G&T to the magic of a sunset moment.

The Musgrave Summer Soireé cocktail menu is available daily at The Ghibli Bar and showcases some of the trendiest serves of the summer, as well as two collaborations with Warwick Wine and Fitch & Leedes.

Have a complimentary “The First Lady Cocktail” on arrival – a combination of Warwick Rosé, elderflower syrup, lime, mint, cucumber and Musgrave Pink Gin, dressed with rose petals.

For those planning to make the most of the weekend, they can take advantage of what the hotel has to offer and stay the night to prolong the experience.

“We wanted to create a beautifully curated space for lovers of the brand, for them to live what we call ‘a spirited lifestyle’.

Founder of the gin Simone Musgrave said: “And for them to reward themselves with great company, music, food and a fabulous location to enjoy our new range of gin cocktails.”

When? Every Friday until February 23. From 4pm-8pm.

Get tickets on Quicket for R100 or at the door.
