Ramaphosa arrives with team in Davos
DEPUTY President Cyril Ramaphosa and his delegation arrived in Davos to take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.
The meeting in DavosKlosters is scheduled for today until Friday, under the theme “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World”. Ramaphosa will join discussion platforms aiming to develop a response to new strategies towards transforming governance in various parts of the world.
“The forum presents South Africa with a platform to showcase its attractiveness as an investment destination and trade partner; set out plans that are unfolding to secure improved and inclusive economic growth; and contribute to efforts to respond to societal challenges globally,” said Ramaphosa’s acting spokesperson, Tyrone Seale.

About 2 500 leaders are expected to attend WEF18, including US President Donald Trump, India’s President Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
