Glamour Magazine editor steps down

- Staff Writer

CONDÉ Nast Independent Magazines announced that Pnina Fenster will step down as editor of Glamour Magazine.

Fenster has headed up Glamour since its 2004 launch, establishing it as the best-selling title in its sector, and as a fashion and beauty leader empowered with positive messages for women.

“Pnina has been a brilliant editor and I want to thank her for her creativity, passion and dedication. She expanded Glamour from a glossy magazine into a powerful brand across digital, social media and consumer events,” said managing director Michelle Fenwick.

The winner of both journalistic and style awards, and previously the launch editor of Marie Claire, Fenster will continue working on a range of local and international platforms as a writer and creative and editorial consultant.

“Glamour has been a career highlight, and I wish the brand the greatest success. I sincerely thank my management, colleagues and our readers,” Fenster said.

“I have worked with people I admire and enjoy, for a company I have esteemed since encountering my first Condé Nast publication at the age of 11. Most especially, it has been an honour to spend 14 years in ongoing, inspiring conversations with South African women.”

Fenster leaves at the end of March, and a successor will be named in due course.
