Water relief at last

-

MY WATER has been off for a week.

I logged a call on May 9, and two days later I followed up three times.

On Monday, May 14, I went to the City of Cape Town offices and to the depot. They said their contractors would have to sort out the meter problem.

I phoned the supervisor, Shahied Abrahams, numerous times, but he did not answer. I even sent him a WhatsApp, which he read but did not reply to.

I phoned his manager, Malungisa Pontia, the whole day on Tuesday. He is still not answering his phone. Can anyone help me? I feel that if those contractors can’t help me today, the City of Cape Town should make sure I have water.

I pay my water bill every month. I am the city’s customer and they have to make sure those people come out to my house and sort out my water meter.

I would like to thank the Cape Times so much for its quick response to my e-mail and for following up on the water issue. Due to your quick response, this issue has been resolved. Lerese Petersen Blackheath
