End cycle of poverty

- Robin Smaill Simon’s Town

HISTORY is in the past and we cannot change it. Some components of that history had toxic consequences while others were beneficial.

To label them all toxic is as ludicrous as labelling them all beneficial. We may all differ in how we label each event.

What is important for the country is to move on and make progress. Namecalling and living in the past are not constructive.

Poverty is a consequence of behaviour and politicians appear to be ignorant of this. To alleviate poverty, behaviour needs to change and none of the policies on offer have any possibility of changing behaviour.

Family and parenting are the keys. We need to look forward to solutions and not backwards.
