Dear Mr President, LEBASHE INVESTMENT GROUP (PTY) LTD FINDING BALANCE

1 We are addressing this letter to you as Directors of Lebashe Investment Group (Pty) Ltd, a financial services company operating in South Africa.

The purpose of this correspondence is to respond to a letter addressed to your esteemed office by Mr Bantu Holomisa on June 26, 2018, acting in both his personal capacity and on behalf of the United Democratic Movement. Mr Holomisa’s letter came to Lebashe’s attention when it was published on the UDM’s website as well as on Mr Holomisa’s Twitter page on June 26, 2018.

2 Lebashe is of the view that Mr Holomisa’s letter, which requests an investigation into the matters identified in his letter, is unfortunate and incorrect. Given the circumstances, Lebashe has duties and responsibilities to its board, shareholders, investors and to the public as a whole to publicise this letter in response thereto.

We therefore advise you, out of respect to the office of the President, that Lebashe together with Harith General Partners, will make this letter available to the public in a joint media statement that will be published during the course of the day.

3 Lebashe strongly denies the numerous unfounded, highly inflammatory, defamatory and vexatious allegations contained in Mr Holomisa’s letter.

Notwithstanding that the allegations have no substance and cast aspersions, Lebashe tenders its full commitment to co-operating with the office of the President in regard to any investigation or inquiry commissioned to investigate these matters. Such reads the letter in part.
