Thank you for your generosity, support

ON behalf of South African National Parks, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your support that contributed to helping the families that were affected by the recent wildfires that occurred in the Garden Route National Park.

At SANParks we pride ourselves that we are able to work towards ensuring that our conservation efforts allow us to protect our natural heritage, so that all South Africans benefit from a national parks system.

The recent fires saw South Africans come together in the face of tragedy, and epitomised the true spirit of togetherness to play their part to support those in need; from those on the front line risking their own lives to fight the fires each day, to giving of their goodwill and lending their time, and in so doing, gave a sense of comfort and dignity to those who were displaced and to those that lost loved ones.

It has been an unbelievably humbling experience to see the enormous amount of support and generosity that we received and continue to receive from various residents, organisations, businesses/civic groups and even our staff members, all coming forward to help. It was wonderful to see so many pull together as one community for good.

Once again, our sincere gratitude to everyone for their generosity as our organisation would not have been able to assist these individuals and families without your support.
