WHAT YOU THINK
I'm a big guy and I needed a vehicle that was light on fuel (I’m averaging 6,45 L/100 km on my manual model) and big enough for me to travel long distances and still feel comfortable. The seats don't push into my shoulders like on other compact sedans. Travelling long distance with four big men and luggage for a week we still managed 6,75 L/100 km, setting the cruise control just over 120 km/h. CHRISTIAAN MARAIS In your long-term test reports, you quote fuel-consumption figures in the high eights, which I find alarmingly heavy compared with my experience with an Ambiente manual model. My current average is 7,6 L/100 km in town driving and 6,9 L/100 km on the open road. Granted, my car has the manual gearbox, but I do travel on the open road extensively, with my average cruising speed hovering at 10 km/h above the speed limit. DENNIS GOOSEN
