CURRENT ISSUES
I'm sitting on my front stoep on a Tuesday morning reading CAR which, incidentally, I’ve done since 1981 (yes, I’m in my 50s) and am still thoroughly enjoying after all these decades. Kudos to this young team for keeping up the good work.
Your long-term test on page 90 of the April issue refers: when one looks carefully at the consumption of the E-golf, it would appear it uses electricity at exactly the same rate as would a petrol-powered car of about 15 years ago.
If a petrol vehicle had a tank of 35,8 litres and its consumption was 12,89 L/100 km, it would give the same range of 277 km.
