Based in Cape Town, contemporary design studio WIID was founded by Laurie Wiid van Heerden, who received the ‘Maker to Market’ award at the Southern Guild Design Foundation awards in 2013. With an emphasis on bringing art and design together, his product range consists of chairs, dining tables, benches, planters and tableware that reflect this ethos. Interesting pieces to look out for include his Corkabitation range, which features entire pieces made from cork, as well as painted steel benches.
